I’m Alex Smith, a UK-based software engineer working in the games industry. I am currently an engine programmer at a AAA studio. Previously, I’ve worked on console graphics development tools, as well as porting games to new platforms. My main interests are low-level systems development and performance optimisation.
I also have an interest in operating systems development: on the side, I work on my own OS kernel and boot loader, and have previously contributed to the Linux kernel and the open source Haiku OS.
